ooc: I'm sure it won't. After that brawl the prince will most likely either have Sven sent out to be killed (fate point lost for sure), or kicked out onto the streets. I'm personally praying for some future that ends with Sven getting his stuff back. If not he'll be wandering the streets without a copper to his name and only his broken manacles to defend himself with.

The prince waved a hand and the guards withdrew their halberds from the dwarf's kneck, one travelled down to rest at his groin and the other rested at his abdomen. The prince walked over to the dwarf and leant over him. "Well, well, well. You're quite a lively one. Let him up." This last piece was to the guards, they seemed uneasy for a moment but after a flaming glare from the prince they withdrew their halberds completely and took a step back. The prince allowed Sven to stand before speaking again. "Step inside my office master dwarf." He gestured through the open doors to a luxriously decorated room. "Would you like something to eat, or drink? I believe we have, oh what is it called?" Airinal leant in and spoke up. "Bugman's eightexes m'lord." Prince Nathaniel clicked the fingers of his right hand and smiled. "That's the one. Fetch a small keg and a glass Airinal." The elf bowed and departed, the princed looked at Sven and asked. "So then, Sven is it? Will you come and talk with me inside?" The prince gave the dwarf a strange smile and waited for his reply.

The prince smiled and ushered the dwarf inside. "It's all about leverage." He murmured quietly to himself as he stepped inside the office and shut the doors. The office was fairly large, nothing massive but a practical size. It was mainly dominated by a large ebony desk across which were scattered a multitude of papers and folders. A large chair sat on one side of the desk and on the other side sat a small stool which seemed to try and be uncomfortable on purpose. There was a large bearskin covering the floor and one entire wall behind the big chair was covered by a highly detailed map of the world, with smaller maps of countries and provinces hanging from pins stuck in their area. The wall opposite the door was just a single large window which looked out across the sprawling mass of the city. The remaining wall held nothing more but a few hunting trophies and an elaborate looking shield and sword. "Please sit master dwarf, your beverage shall be along shortly." Prince Nathaniel moved round the desk and sat down in the large chair, which seemed to be covered in thick fur, he tidied up a few papers and folders and dropped them into a little tray. Then he steepled his fingers and rested his elbows on the desk, leaning his chin on his fingers he spoke. "So then, Sven, I have heard the report that the watch gave me but I believe that they have probably embelished it with their own touches and exaggerated it a large amount. What I want to know is, what's really happened since you've arrived in Raphoe, I shall believe your word, if you give it." The prince raised an eyebrow to emphasise his point and waited for Sven's story.

Sven shrugged his massive shoulders and gathered his meager thoughts. He wondered why the son of a king would care about what appeared to him to be law enforcement. A thought hit him: maybe brawling wasn't allowed. He pushed the thought aside, deciding that he would handle one problem at a time.
"Ye have me word. Right. I get off the boat and ontae dry land. A bunch o' lil' bastich children start insultin' me an' I give chase, yellin' at them as I go. They disapear, aye? Well, I be lost. Now I start lookin' around, wonderin' where I be. Well, I be in an alley. Suddenly these two men come from either side, aye? One has a club, the other has a knife. They tell me that they want me gold! Har! Killed 'em both I did, was a grand time-"
He was interupted by Airinal who came in holding a small mug, a servant carried a small keg. The servant put the keg down and Airinal put the mug ontop of it. He bowed, turned and left. Without thinking Sven reached the mug, filled it up, raised it in a salute to his host and downed it. That was quickly followed by a loud belch.
"Ach, that hit the spot. Bugman's finest...ach that be good! Where was I? Aye! So there I am, I jus' killed those two bastiches and I was thirsty, so I ask for directions and head to the nearest tavern. I get there and call for ale. Who do I meet but another norseman? Well we start drinkin' and singing...then ye watchmen come. They say I murdered those two men. Well, Heort, he says that I did nothin' wrong and that I should be allowed to stay. One o' the watchmen raises up his club to hit him. So I hit him in the head with me mug. Well a good ole' bar room brawl starts, and a right fine one it was too. Well, they drag me down and hit me until everything goes black. Next thing I know I'm bein' lead here. Mark me words, that be how it happened."
Sven nodded with self satisfaction and he folded his arms. He quickly reached back for the keg and poured himself another mug full of ale.

The prince sighed and took up a quill, he dipped it into an inkwell that sat on his desk and took a sheet of paper from the top of a nearby pile. He set the quill on the paper and began to write a note in a flowing elegant script, when he was finished he picked up a small bottle and poured some sand onto the letter, he spread it about then tipped it back into the bottle. He folded up the note and dripped a little hot wax to seal it, he then pressed a wooden stamp into it and turned it over, he quickly wrote down a name on the front and handed it across the desk to Sven. "Take this to the watch house and give it to the first person you see." The prince then wrote another quick note and handed it to Sven along with two gold crowns. "Find somewhere to stay for the night and be in the main hall here at eight sharp, give this note to the guard at the gates and he'll give you no trouble." The princed smiled at Sven and leant back in his chair. "Farewell, master dwarf."

Sven smiled at the prince and downed his mug. He grabbed the message in one of his ham sized hands and quickly walked away. As he walked away he looked at the parchment, but then remembered that he couldn't read. With a shrug he headed back towards the watch house.
