The Refuge is what one would call your average Inn and Tavern. It is solidly build of granite, with thick foggy windows that give off a ruddy glow at night. Inside, sturdy oaken tables and chairs sit scattered around the dark wooden floor. To the right sits the long wooden bar, with it's alcohol stained top and multiple tall stools. Opposite the bar counter sits the large stone fireplace which almost always has a roaring fire in it. Above the fireplace sits a huge stuffed boar head with two old and dusty axes behind it. in the far left corner sits the creaky set of stairs that leads to the second floor and the multiple rooms that can be rented. The air in the Refuge is usually slightly thick with pipeweed smoke and the chatter of the Inn goers, the loudest of which belongs to the barman Fred. Fred stands at about six feet with a very ample stomach around which is tied a stained black apron. Fred's head is totally bald, and his chubby cheeks which seemed to be crinckled into a permanent smile hold a large handle bar moustach. The barkeep is quite jolly, as can be told the his loud and hearty laughter which always seems to fill the common room. As well as Fred, there are multiple serving girls who inhabit the refuge, as well as a large Norscan name Heort who acts as the Refuge's slightly disused bouncer.
