The barracks is a very large building, with 10 sleeping rooms that each has room for 20 men. It's not much privacy you get when you're in the army, no matter where you sleep you're going to get a single mattress on the floor and the side buddy is about 30 centimeters away, kept away by a 20 centimeter tall wooden edge that goes around the entire mattress. Your backpack is hung over your head on the wall and most of your stuff is weaponry or armour and is in the armoury.
When you enter the barracks through the front, you're greeted by five guards at the gate, once you get in you will be in a foye and there is about 5 meters across the room to the outdoor training arena. You can also go to the right or left, in both cases ending up in dormitories which leads to two other dormitories. When in the training arena, you can cross it and enter the door that leads to the hall that resembles the foye and then go to the armory across the hall, there are 2 guards by the armory door. You can also choose to go right when in the arena, this will lead you to a dormitory and the same if you go to the left. If you choose to go right or left when standing before the armory, both ways leads you to 2 more dormitories. In both of these however, are stairs and you climb them to get to the second level of the barracks.
After walking up the stairs you are now in a hall, similar to the one you were in just before. Up here are the Captains' quarters, Captains and Sergeants live up here while the Corporals live with the other soldiers. That's pretty much it.
In the training areas you can lift weights, fire bows, crossbows, pistols etc at targets, spar with other soldiers, be tutored by a sergeant and yet more stuff. The outdoor training areas downstairs are open for all soldiers of the barracks and if you pay a fee of gold to one of the sergeants or captains if you meet them, then you can get in even though you're not a soldier.
It costs
3 GC for an hour of training,
5 GC for an hour of training if you have to borrow something,
10 GC for an hour to be tutored by a sergeant.
